As we’ve begun entering these beginning stages of almost fall, I’ve found I’ve had a hard time keeping up with life! There seems to be so much going on in every direction and, frankly, I’m a little exhausted. It’s no mystery that getting dressed is one of my favorite things to do, I love the routine of picking out an outfit. Lately though, amidst my recent tiredness, I’ve found I’m having some different approaches to what kind of outfits I’m putting together and feeling good in. They’ve still been “creative”, but more importantly they’ve been simplified and (of course) comfortable.
For those of you also going through a little bought of fatigue, I put together some of my favorite “tired” outfits, all lazy sunday approved.
I have to talk about how incredibly soft this J.Crew long sleeve tee is- I just picked it up last week and it’s one of the first things I grab when I come home and change after work. I’m already plotting buying another color. It also makes my sweat pants feel a little less “I binge watch netflix in these” - ya know?
Sometimes a lazy outfit still involves jeans, but only the softest, most broken in pair! Mine are 6 years old from Rollas, and these are a close fit to my well-loved pair above.
Nothing says “I’m tired” like wearing a pair of boxer shorts out! Although, I give these ones a little more credit than being regular old boxer shorts, they have a cute little frill after all. I picked them up at Lisa Says Gah! when we were visiting SF, but I just found the brands website that makes them and they have more cute prints- red gingham, green gingham, blue stripes. The key to styling these so they feel a little less PJ short is adding in a tailored piece and a little texture (the leather loafers, and shaggy sweater).
It wouldn’t be a post bout dressing while tired without featuring my favorite “slippers”. The venetian slipper mary janes from Vibi Venezia are some of my favorite little flats, the mary jane style makes everything feel little more “cute”- even sweatpants!
Well I am now off to continue my lazy say at home, eating leftovers and watching TV most of the day. I hope for your more tiring days (or weeks) this helps you feel little inspired. Until next time!
Cheers,
xx Taylor
