A Casual Wear Capsule
Don't you want to get an outfit compliment while shopping for produce? Put down the leggings and find a little more inspo in your wardrobe for even the most average day of errands.
We live in the era of workout wear. The workout set has become the new go-to for so many people and while yes leggings are comfortable and I too have thrown them on with a t-shirt to run errands in, it’s time we start putting a little effort back into wearing the real clothes we have sitting in our wardrobe. I’ve been making it a point to really try and put together new outfits on my days off and wear more of the pieces I have taken the time and energy to shop for! It does something good to my psyche when I take those few extra minutes to put together an outfit that’s a little more creative. I think it’s because I am putting together an outfit that’s only for me and what I want- there’s no dress code when you’re running errands so the world is your oyster when it comes to options. This can really be a perfect time to flex that creative muscle. Of course it feels good to take a little extra time for yourself, but also don’t you want to be stopped at the grocery store because someones complimenting your outfit?!
This genre of comfortable cute clothing for day time is often made up of the pieces that are the meat and potatoes, the work horses of our wardrobes, if you will. These are pieces that your cost per wear has paid for itself many times over. For me they all start with the silhouette, because if they are going to be casual they need to feel comfortable and easy enough to throw on whenever, aka have a silhouette I can always trust. My go-to’s consist of many not-too-fitted tops and bottoms and plenty of soft fabrics. I hope you find the below outfits a little inspiring, at least enough to put down the leggings and try a new look for you afternoon out and about this spring.

These are all so cute. Where did you get those polka dot shorts? I love them!
I love all of these ideas. The top that matches the linen (?) pants is really pretty. What brand us that?
